Trivia Dating was developed, designed and established in Australia by Stuart Greenfield. Stuart created Trivia Dating in response to what he saw becoming a ‘tired’ Sydney dating scene. In his own words:

“I could sense a growing air of disinterest among my many single friends when they discussed the dating scene. It was all becoming just too hard. The feeling was that online dating is like online shopping - very impersonal… speed dating feels like a job interview… and blind dating was just plain awkward and intimidating. Yet there remain plenty of genuine singles out there looking for something a bit more ‘real’.

So Stuart figured that, as most people like pub trivia, why not use ‘trivia with a twist’ as a catalyst for meeting like-minded singles? And so he started organising singles events that enable successful, single professionals with busy lifestyles to meet and have fun.

“Trivia Dating aims to offer a friendly, fun environment that, while still obviously focussed on bringing people together, doesn’t feel like a Friday night wine bar meat market. As the Trivia Dating community grows, we’ll be able to better tailor events for certain age groups and even for those with common interests, therefore increasing the chances of sparking longer lasting relationships.”

There’s nothing intimidating about Trivia Dating… everybody meets everybody and the questions (some a little ‘tongue in cheek’) are great ice-breakers. It isn't just about finding a potential partner but about providing singles with a safe and easy way to meet new people, make new friends and have a great time.
