Although a time consuming job, we love putting Trivia Dating events together for you… writing all the right questions to make it a fun night; tailoring the event to the appropriate group by age and shared interests… all those sorts of things. Like most things that reflect such effort, your place at the night cannot be confirmed until we receive your payment.

Cancellation

We have a no refund policy at Trivia Dating. Once you have registered and paid for an event you are not eligible for a refund.

We make every effort to give you directions to the event and to the room at the venue… after that, finding us is your responsibility. Our host does not always have the time to ask everyone in the venue if they are there for each event.

We know things do come up, many of them important… however we do enforce the rule that if you cancel your attendance at an event once you have paid and confirmed that you will attend, your registration fee is forfeit. The reason… again it goes back to the preparation involved. If you don’t attend an event for whatever reason, the experience for our other guests is lessened. So if you know you can’t make it, please let us know out of consideration for them.

If you decide at any stage during the evening for any reason to leave, feel free to do so. However again, you won’t receive a refund.

Once you have paid for an event you will receive, via email, a confirmation and a receipt of payment.  Please ensure you put info@triviadating.com.au in your address book, as many e-mail spam and junk mail applications are highly sensitive and we may not get through. This is your responsibility.

Trivia Dating reserves the right to be the final arbiter in any dispute as to whether a confirmation or receipt has been sent or not.  A copy of your invitation/payment history can be sent upon request.

Postponing an event

If we are unable to fill an event, we will reschedule it for another night around one month from the original date.  We will notify you by email and SMS as soon as possible.  In case of an unusually large number of cancellations on the actual day of the event, we will notify you as soon as possible.  If the new date is not convenient for you, you will be offered the opportunity to wait for the next suitable event or receive a refund.  Please note that should you wish to be refunded you must make your request no later than 48 hours after the notification of the event being rescheduled.

We understand that postponing a Trivia Dating event is frustrating and disappointing; it is for us too.  We make every effort to ensure that all our events go ahead as planned and we only cancel when we know the event just wouldn’t be worth your while or enough fun without the correct number or mix of other guests.

The numbers of people at each event

Trivia Dating relies on there being an equal number of men and women present, but a couple of extras or a couple fewer isn’t going to be a problem.  However if there is a significant difference in the ratio of men to women or there just aren’t enough people overall, then we will postpone the event.

Relationships resulting from Trivia Dating

Trivia Dating holds no responsibility for the outcome of any relationship that may or may not arise between you and another person who you might meet through a Trivia Dating event.  Trivia Dating takes no responsibility for behaviour and/or activities - neither of participants, nor of participants at consequential meetings.  You agree not to initiate any claim against Trivia Dating resulting from either social or dating activities and agree to hold Trivia Dating free from any liability.

Refusal of entry

Trivia Dating also reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refuse admission to any individual who has not conducted himself or herself in a proper manner, or about whom we have received complaints during an event.

Pricing

Trivia Dating reserves the right to alter any aspect of its services, including but not limited to pricing, at any time without notice.

The cost to attend each event is specified in the details page of the event.  However, prices can change at anytime without prior notice.  The price will be displayed on the payment page prior to entering credit card details.

Photographs, film and audio used for promotional purposes

From time to time Trivia Dating puts on an event for the media, which is filmed, audio recorded or photographed.  e-Mail invitations and registration pages for these events will always specify that the event is a media event.  By attending a media event you provide permission to both Trivia Dating and the media in question to use material recorded at that event.  The footage, images and audio may appear in printed publications, on television or radio, in member newsletters and/or on our web site.

Trivia Dating often takes photographs for publicity purposes.  These images may appear in our printed publications, member newsletters and on our web site.  By registering with Trivia Dating you provide permission for us to use your image or images taken at events in publicity material, newsletter, web pages, direct mail, etc.  No names will ever be used without first seeking permission.
