July 2010: Another two great Trivia Dating nights in Randwick

Wow! Another awesome couple of nights at the Coach & Horses in spite of the terrible weather. 

Thanks to all those people who came along on both Tuesday nights in July, it was great to meet so many new faces and brilliant to see friends return from previous events, thanks for your support.  The rain didn't dampen anyone's spirits and again we had a lot of laughs and plenty of matches.  We would love to get some feedback on how things go with those dates.

We will be back at the Coach and Horses next month, Tuesday August 17th.  We look forward to seeing you there.

We’ll tell you more about the dates for other events in the Eastern Suburbs when we confirm them. We hope to be back on the Northern Beaches soon, and we’re pretty sure we’ve got a venue in Parramatta, just as soon as they finish their renovations; we’re looking forward to that. 

We are also looking at a couple of venues on the southern side of the city and hope to have them confirmed very soon.  The plan is to have venues with appropriate age groups close to everybody, this depends on finding suitable venues and having enough people registered with us at Trivia Dating to support the events, so tell your friends about us, bring them along next time and remind them to register like you did so we can send them their matches after the event.

May 2010: Trivia Dating a huge success in Randwick

We had a brilliant night at our first event at the AB Hotel, Glebe on Thursday, March 11. We thank Connie at the AB Hotel for all her help on the night and we also thank those of you who came along to make it such a great night.

June 2009: Seaforth event a real success

This Trivia Dating event was an unqualified success, attracting over 50 people, mainly locals but some from as far as the Central Coast and Sydney’s inner west. The questions and answers flew, the bar was well patronised and rumour has it that the night triggered several ongoing relationships.

At the end of the night over a few drinks, first-time participants were asked to give their honest opinions about their Trivia Dating experience, in order to help us make sure we keep improving each succeeding event.

We were pleased to hear that the overwhelming majority of those who attended the Seaforth event had a fantastic time. Many said they’d keep coming back on a regular basis (as often as once a month). It seems that everyone’s happy with pubs and clubs as preferred venues for Trivia Dating (rather than ritzier rooms for which we’d have to pay and charge more.)

Around half the people we spoke to said they liked having music as part of the event… (we hired two ‘troubadours’ for the Balgowlah RSL gig to go from table to table in the break and serenade the guests). Others felt it was a distraction, so the verdict’s still out on that. But there’s little doubt that most of these singles will be back for more… and that’s great news for those new to Trivia Dating too.
